Persian bows
Persian archery held great significance in the Persian army and was employed in numerous historical battles. For example, during the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC, Persian archers provided effective support to Xerxes’ army. Over the centuries, Persian archers continuously developed their weaponry and techniques. The draw weight and accuracy of their bows increased, allowing them to aim more effectively and shoot from longer distances.
